Zero Image 2000 Pinhole Camera
The Zero Image 2000 Pinhole Camera is one of our more modern film cameras. We use it to demonstrate the basics of the Camera Obscura and pinhole cameras.
We purchased this camera in the early 2000's, it's a beautiful hand made pinhole camera made with brass and teak. The Pinhole Lens is rated at f/138. The shutter locks open by hand and also takes a mechanical cable shutter release. The bubble level on top helps get the horizon straight and the conversion disc on the back allows you to use a light meter and easily convert the shutter duration for the smaller aperture. Don't forget to add for reciprocity!
The Zero Image camera is meant for 120 film, however we love to shoot 35mm in it with an adapter we made for the 35mm film spool. These 35mm photographs will include part of the photo on the sprockets at the side of the film, a method a lot of film photographers enjoy experimenting with.
Zero Image cameras are still made to this day, you can visit them at http://www.zeroimage.com/
