Youth and Young Adult Education
Photography Education Programs offer engaging, age appropriate learning experiences that introduce students to photography through hands on activities, demonstrations, and creative exploration. Our programs combine art, science, and history, allowing students to learn how images are made while actively creating their own photographs. Workshops can be adapted for different age groups and learning environments, from classroom presentations to outdoor demonstrations and extended sessions.
Programs emphasize curiosity, problem solving, and visual storytelling, while reinforcing core concepts such as light, chemistry, physics, and design. Students are encouraged to experiment, ask questions, and participate directly in the photographic process rather than simply observe. Sessions can be tailored to align with curriculum goals, enrichment activities, or special interest programs, and are suitable for schools, homeschool groups, summer camps, and youth organizations.
Hands on photography programs, workshops, demonstrations and 'make & take' stations can explore historic and alternative processes such as cyanotype, solargraphy, pinhole cameras, photograms, anthotypes, and hand coloring, alongside modern photography including digital cameras, studio techniques, and post processing.
Our curriculums are completely customizable for your event and/or location!
